About Emily

Hello! My name is Emily, and I am excited to hopefully be your tutor! I am currently in medical school after graduating from the University of Chicago with a degree in Biology in 2022. I have more than 7 years of teaching and tutoring experience, working with students 3 to 21 years old. Some of my previous positions include working as a tutor for the inpatient pediatrics units at the University of Chicago Comer Children's Hospital, teaching 9th grade Health Education in a public high school, and teaching multiple undergraduate biology laboratory courses at the University of Chicago (genetics and cell biology). For the last two years I have worked as a private tutor. Because of my wide range of teaching experiences, I have become well-versed and confident in working with students of diverse needs and abilities. I am patient and caring and will work diligently to develop a lesson plan and teaching strategy that fits each unique student's needs.
