I'd describe my personality as caring, hard-working, attentive. I like working with kids because they are small humans with huge hearts. They are on their way to becoming something wonderful but they need lots of nurturing to get there. The early years are crucial to building a wholesome, bright, amazing person and I want to help them get there. I started working with kids in 2016 as an educator. I've worked with ages ranging from 6 months to 12 years of age. I went to Ball State University in 2012, where I gained a bachelor's degree in elementary education. Since then I've had 3 years of elementary school experience and 5 years of preschool experience. In my spare time, I like to read, spend time outside on our farm, care for our pets, and help manage my partner's photography business. One thing you should know about me is I love to spend time outside. As warm weather approaches, I would love to involve your children in outdoor activities. *pay rate negotiable

Emily worked with our family during Summer 2024 providing morning and afternoon care to our 3-year-old and 1-year-old. Some of our favorite things about working with Emily are plentiful outdoor and exploration time for two very energetic boys and connecting with our kids on their interests, such as riding bikes, creativity with Legos and Magnatiles, reading books, playing with sensory toys, and more. Emily is gifted at providing structure throughout the day and creating a rhythm so our kids know what to expect and also have choices and opportunities for plenty of free play. Emily is always punctual, a strong communicator, and flexible to fit the family's needs. She is very thoughtful and asks great clarifying questions. Emily prepared healthy meals, helped clean up after the boys, and engaged them in helping with cleanup, too. We highly recommend hiring Emily!
