About Emily

I worked as an after school tutor for grades K-5. I helped kids with science, math, English, and writing. In this role, I was able to help kids with homework assignments and preparing for tests/quizzes within the classroom. I am a college student studying nursing. With my degree, a lot of the focus is on math and science, so I have the experience and knowledge to help children grow in their understanding of math and science concepts. I have also had the experience of working within a first grade classroom as a teachers assistant. Within this role, I was able to learn how the classroom works as well as how teachers are able to explain concepts. I learned how to gear my teaching based upon each child's learning style.
