About Emily

Hi! My name is Emily, and I'm an OSU graduate with a degree in Human Development & Family Sciences and a minor in Sociology. I've been working with children for almost my entire life, starting as a neighborhood babysitter in my early teens and most recently as a relief teacher for 5 years. Along the way, I've completed training in CPR/first aid and trauma-informed care. While I loved my previous job, I've missed the opportunity to develop ongoing relationships with the children I work with and the dynamic of childcare outside of the classroom setting. I enjoy music, arts & crafts, and outdoor activities. My goal is to support children as they learn to navigate the world and express their creativity and curiosity. I also believe that maintaining a sense of childlike wonder is so important! Working with kids is my passion, and I hope to eventually work within the foster care system or with adoptees.
