About Emily

Hello! I am currently a college student finishing up my Human Development & Family Sciences degree through OSU. I've been working with kids since I was a neighborhood babysitter growing up, and went on to work at an after-school program before working as a relief teacher for the past 5 years. I love my job but have missed the opportunity to develop ongoing relationships with the children I work with, and have missed the dynamic of childcare outside of the classroom setting. I love music, arts & crafts, helping with homework, and doing outdoor activities. I have over 10 years of experience, and training including CPR/first aid and trauma-informed care. I love watching kids learn to navigate the world and express their creativity through autonomous learning. In general, working with children is my passion and I plan to eventually work within the foster care system, with adoptees, and with at-risk youth.
