I have known and worked with Emily for the last five years, both as her Supervisor, and as a friend. Over this period of time, it has been a great joy to watch her mature as an individual. One area in which I have worked with her and been able to observe her leadership skills in particular, was summer of 2013 when we went on a Mission Trip to Turkey. She was in situations that were far beyond her comfort zone and yet she was able to push herself to move beyond that and put the needs of others first. I can honestly say that she is a person who cares deeply for people, taking into consideration all their needs, whether spiritual, emotional, physical, or mental.
