About Emily

Hi there! I'm Emilie, a liberal arts educated woman in my twenties with lots of babysitting experience who would love to meet you and your family! I'm a New York City native (English is my first language) and an older sibling, I was raised by an elementary school music teacher and a guitar instructor, and I've been working with kids since I had my first job as a mother's helper to my neighbors when I was a tween. In addition to my babysitting experience, I also have years of experience as a camp counselor and peer counselor, humanities and test prep tutor and lifeguard and swimming instructor's assistant, but most importantly, babysitting is the work that makes me happiest! I live in Bushwick, Brooklyn and I write for a few different local community blogs, and my hobbies are reading, cooking and riding my bike.
