About Emily

When I was a teenager I helped my mom take care of an elderly woman. We were only a stand in when my moms friend couldn't make it over, and it only happened a few times. She was sometimes forgetful. We looked through old photos and some things would start to come back, her eyes would fill wil happy tears and she'd tell us her stories about her and her children. A year or two later I found out she passed away. She was one of the sweetest people I had the chance of getting to know. I still think of her frequently and wish she was still around so I can bring my kids to meet her. Though I only did this a few times, I never had the opportunity, now as an adult, to help someone the way my mom and I helped this woman.
