About Emily

Hi, my name is Emily! I've been working with kids for several years; for the past two years I've worked as a preschool and kindergarten teacher in both Prague and South Korea. This included building English verbal and written communication skills, as well as establishing classroom teamwork and behavioral standards. Prior to this, I have worked as a private tutor for elementary, middle school, and high school students. My childcare approach is one of balance: appreciating a child's individuality and encouraging their spark, while also guiding the growth of emotional and mental skills to aid them in having happy and healthy interactions at school and with their peers! I like working with kids because I love witnessing the way they experience the world. Their joy and excitement is so unfiltered, and contagious. One thing you should know about me is I'm an avid reader and fan of the arts. When working with kids, I'm very encouraging of engaging in reading and artistic activities!
