About Emily

My dad and stepmom adopted five kids soon after I graduated high school, so I have learned many things about taking care of a wide age range of kids. My siblings ages now are 3 years old, 5 years old, 13 years old, 16 years old, and 19 years old. When we first began to foster them their ages ranged from 6 weeks old to 16 years old. The youngest siblings have developmental delays due to their trauma, so I have experience with children who struggle with that. I've grown up with a best friend who has 2 brothers with autism (one is only a year younger than us, the other is 11 years younger than me), so I also have experience with autistic children. I am currently in my first year of college to earn my degree in psychology and become a therapist. I work as a Behavioral Health Technician at a rehab facility for recovering addicts. I aim to help others who are struggling to meet them where they're at and provide them with a listening ear and support.
