About Emily

I'd describe my personality as patient, encouraging, and empathetic. I like tutoring because I love building connections with children, I thrive on those "aha" moments, and I love helping students believe in themselves again. I'm looking for a job that offers meaningful relationships with students, academic growth and confidence-building, flexibility and balance, and opportunities to use my creativity. I started tutoring after my first few years of teaching. I have been teaching for 10 years. In my spare time, I like to spend time with family, play with my dog, and binge my favorite shows. One thing you should know about me is that I will truly see and believe in your child by noticing strengths and celebrating progress.
