About Emily

I have been working in childcare for 12 years. My first babysitting job was at 12 years old at church events overseeing anywhere from 1-12 kids (help of one other babysitter), I was at this job until I was 18. I was a summer camp counselor for 3 summers during undergraduate (where I got CPR and first aid certified at Lifetime Athletics), overseeing swim time, arts and crafts, snack time, dance classes, etc. On the child end of childcare I am quick on my feet with activities to fill the time. I am patient and understanding of different personality types of children. I stick to the script the parents give me and try not to step on any toes. On the business end of childcare I am upfront with what I expect from the parents and want to know what they expect from me to create clear working boundaries. Respecting my time by keeping an open line of communication with me regarding care for your children/cancelling/coming home late.
