About Emily

Hi - my name is Emily and I'm a graduate student at Xavier University studying mental health counseling. I have been a nanny and sitter on a weekly basis for almost 10 years. I specialize in respectful childcare that focuses on a child's self-regulation and offers unconditional positive regard as they grow up in a world that contradicts that. With numerous families around Columbus that I cared for on a regular basis, I have honed my skills in tutoring, developing self-compassion, and fostering interpersonal skills (especially between siblings). I'm also an incredible UNO opponent. I love helping children discover the world and their place in it while partnering with the parents to maintain a consistent household structure and reach their individual goals. I have a lifetime of pet experience and I would love to help with light cooking, cleaning, and errands. I look forward to meeting you and your family!
