After supporting both parents who lived with dementia for more than one decade, I pivoted my career and went into aging and dementia services creating and implementing innovative programming including dementia fitness at the Y, memory cafes, Dementia Dialogues at the local library, and online support groups. I love older individuals and have a special love for those living with memory challenges as I appreciate and engage their whole being - emotions, body, and spirit, not just their brains.

Emily is a warm, caring person who is hard working, knowledgeable and ready to help in any way she can. My husband and I have benefited tremendously from the programs that she led. Even after we moved out of the area, we have continued to attend online the groups that fit that format because Emily makes the meetings so interesting and meaningful. She has wonderful ideas and she is so encouraging to all of us.
