I grew up with animals in my family: fish, dogs, cats. My parents have a sheltie and a doberman. My mother-in-law has two chihuahuas. My brother and sister-in-law have three cats. I currently have two rescued cats. I have pet-sit for family, friends, neighbors, and others met through my friends in animal rescue. I have experience with multi-pet households, small and large dog breeds, cats, and have worked with senior animals and animals with medical and mobility issues. I also have familiarity with horses, oxen, turkeys, chickens, and goats from working on a farm; tarantulas, a variety of beetles and other insects from assisting my husband who is an entomologist with educational programs and outreach, and a general willingness to work with animals of all kinds.

Emily can do it all, from creatures giant or small. Emily helps with the animal chores on my farm and has been a reliable caregiver to the animals for over one and a half years. She's taken care chickens, geese, and pigs (and sometimes the barn cats). She shows up on time and gets to work. During her tenure of taking care of the animals, she's made the job her own. She learns the names of my animals (not an easy task) and even brings them healthy treats that she prepared on her own time. I appreciate her attention to detail and willingness to tackle any job. She'll let me know if the animals feed bins need restocking. She's been through all the seasons on the farm and is not phased by the heat or cold. I have come to rely on her when I am not available to do the chores myself. Emily is great!
