About Emily

I cared for two girls approximately three years apart for five years. The oldest was 2 years old when I started, and I resumed my care once the youngest daughter was a year old. When I looked after the girls, we would play with dolls, color, read books, and do other fun, engaging activities. I would also get them ready for bed, read a story to them and have them tell me about their day. I enjoy looking after children because they are endearing, full of energy and eager to learn. During college, I was involved in a community outreach program to teach hands-on science lessons in urban sixth grade classrooms once a week. As part of my sorority's philanthropy work with the Ronald McDonald House, I volunteered to play with the children of the families staying in the local home and helped to organize Easter egg hunts, Halloween bags and crafts for the children, who were always so grateful for the attention and gifts.
