About Emily

Hello! My name is Emily and my background is in education as I have a Masters Degree in Childhood Special Education with a focus in Learning Disabilities and an Undergraduate Degree in Early Childhood General and Special Education with a concentration in Human Development and English. I'm currently the assistant director of the Sarah Lawrence Graduate Teaching Program and teach courses on Neurodiversity and Special Education, Curriculum, and a Practicum course. I have ample experience babysitting and tutoring ages 2-12 but am open to all ages! When caring for children, I enjoy spending time outdoors and engaging in activities that spark their creativity. It is important for the child to feel safe, comfortable, and most importantly have fun! My passions include art, nature and animals. My professional interests include Emotionally Responsive Practice, Emergent Curriculum, and a strengths based perspective.
