About Emily

During high school and college, I was a regular babysitter/nanny for a couple of families and was even approached about being a live-in nanny but could not make that work at the time due to school scheduling conflicts. I have cared for infants, young children, and adolescents. After completing my PhD, I worked for a think tank in South Carolina dedicated to early childhood issues until I opened my own consulting firm specializing in broader public health problems. Due to the nature of my work, my schedule is quite flexible. Over the past couple of years, I have picked up extra work as a substitute teacher mostly at the elementary level but have taught all the way through high school.
