About Emily

Hi, I'm Emme! :) I'm a 3rd year medical student at Des Moines University, and I'm taking a year off at the moment and am working in the medical field. I am originally from the area (Prior Lake / Savage). I love working with kids! Past experiences include 2 summers as a Teachers Assistant at Primrose School of Savage, 1 summer working as a camp counselor at YMCA Camp Kici Yapi, several years as a volunteer for YMCA Special Olympics Young Athlete Program, several years of babysitting, etc. I was a volunteer mentor for Project Friendship during all 4 years of college at St. Olaf. During medical school I have volunteered at a nearby homeless shelter to help with childcare, was on the board of the Pediatrics Club during my first year, was a Wish Granter for Make-A-Wish Iowa, and volunteered to give back-to-school physicals for 2 years. I am so excited to get back into babysitting and look forward to meeting everyone! I am open to interviews for positions as well!
