About Emily

Hello! I'm Emily, an Indy native and former art teacher turned nanny. I received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in 2013 from Ball State University. After college I went on to teach art in a classroom for 7 years. During that time I worked with preschool students (age 3) up through 8th grade. When I left the education field I decided to nanny professionally working with mostly infants and toddlers. Along with typical child care responsibilities I also take time to engage their imaginations, offer care and guidance to their emotional needs, provide a safe and structured environment, and look for opportunities to integrate creativity when possible. Outside of teaching and childcare I am passionate about art, travel, nature, and thrifting. I love to incorporate these interests throughout different aspects of my life. In my opinion life is meant to be enjoyed and lived to the fullest. I look forward to assisting your child/children do just that.
