I began home care 10 hears ago with families from my church. Then I went to, Home Instead, then I went independent again. I prefer working directly with the family. Some of my duties include: tube feeding, male catheter care, diabetes, Parkinson's, dementia, incontinence, hoyer lift, stroke, aphasia and hospice care. I cook old fashioned meals. I drive clients to appointments/excursions. I'm comfortable with a wheelchair. I enjoy reading and needlework so I'm pretty quiet except when conversing with clients. Through their stories I've been a WW ll bomber pilot, heard how to turn a small Ohio farm into a golf course, gotten a taste of competitive dancing, picked cotton, done upholstery, learned about the American gangster days, played the organ for church and how to start a trucking and grading business. Clear ongoing communication between myself, my client and their family is my motto. I have references upon request.
