About Emilia

I am a secondary-level ELA teacher with ESL-certification and teaching experience in both Common Core and IB (MYP) curriculum. I have worked with students of all ages, from first grade to adult, beginner level ESL to native English speakers in my home state of Montana, Washington, and internationally (India, Thailand, Sicily). My aim as an educator is to support and encourage dynamic learning. In my classroom, we celebrate growth in its many forms. Those terms of success and growth will look different for each student. The key is to help each student find joy in learning, know that they're supported, and view perceived failure as natural and not a character flaw. In my classroom, I work to foster a learning environment that welcomes such growth and encourages students to persevere with confidence. I love teaching and am eager to pursue a new chapter in my career! I look forward to further discussing my qualifications with you.
