About Emerald

I'm a young and ambitious educator who has 3 years of experience working with students from Kindergarten-6th grade, both in school and at-home. I'm enthusiastic about working with children in this age group because they're energetic about learning, have very creative minds, and challenge my teaching style on a daily basis. My main subjects of focus are Math and Reading because I believe they are essential to anyone's success in life. I plan to passionately instill as much knowledge as I can in upcoming generations through a student-centered approach that is based on individualized hands-on learning. It is very rewarding to me when I see students apply the knowledge and strategies that I've shared with them to critically think through academic content. I also find joy in observing students achieve social-behavioral growth with themselves and others. My interests include music, working out, reading self-help literature, cooking, and spending quality time with family & friends.
