This past year I worked as an intake manager at a home care agency, and getting to spend time with seniors and learning how they became who they are is such an incredible privilege. They are strong individuals that just need some support. And that is my goal. Make sure they feel comfortable and independent while giving them the support they need to complete their activities of daily living. In addition, I was also direct support for 4 years at an assisted living facility for special needs adults where I provided support and supervision, while also teaching life skills that foster independence. I try to see the world through their bright curious eyes, and learn how each individual feels safe and comfortable. It would be an honor to be a part of any one of their stories.
