About Elyse

As an older sister, I have always held a certain amount of responsibility. Growing up, my family and I moved between 3 different continents, living in Australia, England and the United States. I watched my younger brother, while both of my parents worked full-time jobs. Learning how to care for someone else from a young age helped me learn valuable, transferable skills. Once he was old enough to take care of himself, I became a babysitter for kids in the area and began dog-sitting, too. I recently graduated from the University of Miami in December 2019, and had a job lined up to work as an account executive. Due to corona virus, I was let go, but these months in quarantine gave me time to think about my next move. I am planning to go back to school to get my masters degree in social work and child development, and feel like babysitting again will be the perfect way to build my portfolio and use the transferable skills I learned years ago.
