About Elsie

My name is Elsie, and I'm from Salem. I have 10 years of experience in various childcare settings, including: before/after school programs, summer camps, in home childcare, daycares, preschools, and elementary schools. I am have been employed with Salem-Keizer School District for 4 years. I am currently employed as a Special Programs Instructional Assistant in a Developmental Kindergarten class. I have experience working with children across the spectrum of ability, with various emotional, physical, and cognitive needs. I pride myself on providing the best care possible to children as individuals, and fostering a caring environment where they can feel safe, happy, and accepted; even when their parents aren't around. I enjoy planning fun activities based on a child's interests and abilities. I look forward to meeting you and your family! I speak Spanish, having taken 5 years of classes, and I'm still learning more today! I love art, and enjoy drawing.
