About Elsie

Elsie is compassionate, creative, dedicated, and organized educator. As a champion for children, I believe that with proper coaching and mentoring, each student can develop the study skills & strategies that will help enhance reading comprehension and critical thinking. I attended both Texas Southern University (TSU) and University of Houston ( UOFH). At TSU, I joined the Texas Southern University Dance Company and also served as a Dance assistant. I graduated from University of Houston, majoring in interdisciplinary studies/humanities. I began my teaching career during my undergraduate studies as a substitute teacher which lead to me my passion in Special Education. Besides my love for teaching, I enjoy the adventures of visiting new places, people, culture and food. Some of my hobbies are cooking, crafts, botany, music, theater and cars.
