My first encounter with children with special needs was in sixth grade as an elective class. I went on to work with adults with autism at Eastern Michigan University. Assisting them in class and making sure they were aware of upcoming test/assignments. My next opportunity was working at an ABA clinic where I stayed there for 13 months working 1:1/2 with clients. My career aspirations are to become a Board Certified Behavior Analyst! I love the autism field because watching them hit new milestones is rewarding for me.
