About Ellison

I have over 200 hours of volunteer tutoring experience. I am able to relate to my students, as school did not come easily to me at first. I eventually overcame those struggles and learned information more in depth. I'd describe my personality as friendly, ambitious, and empathetic. I like tutoring because of the sense of accomplishment my students receive. I'm looking for a job that allows me to connect to students while helping them learn the content. I started tutoring when I realized that we all know more than we think we do. Even though I am 19, I know I can use my knowledge to benefit others. In my spare time, I like to write poetry! I am passionate about words and the meaning they carry! One thing you should know about me is I am close enough to most students age where my words come off differently than a teacher. Most kids can see I am not more than 12 years older than them, so they are more likely to listen. My skills include patience, communication, and adaptability.
