About Ellis

Hello! I am a middle school science teacher and have been working full time in education for the past 7 years. My education career was inspired by not feeling like my thoughts were seen, valued, or appreciated by many of my teachers in traditional school settings. I want my students to always know their ideas are worthy. I am an incredibly patient person, something my students always comment on. My priority is getting to know my students and finding ways to connect what they know and are interested in to the content they are learning. I look forward to meeting and working with you! I like tutoring because I love working one-on-one and seeing students faces light up when they understand. I've tutored off and on for around 15 years, and have been working full-time in education for the past 7 years. In my spare time, I like to play ball with my dog, cuddle my cat, read, spend time outside, embroider, color, and dance.
