About Ellise

I'd describe my personality as easygoing, passionate, and empathetic. I like tutoring because seeing the light bulb turn on in a student is incredibly fulfilling. I'm looking for a job that gives me purpose and allows me to use some of my schooling. In addition, gaining transferable skills that could one day aid in my future career is important to me. I have tutored for about 4 years now, I started tutoring when I was a junior in high school and continued into my sophomore year of college. When I'm not doing homework, in my spare time, I like to watch movies, play soccer, and spend time with my family. One thing you should know about me is I have spent a lot of time working on my emotional intelligence, especially when it comes to self-awareness and emotional regulation. My skills include math, biology, and chemistry. While working on my BS in biology, I have taken general biology 1 and 2, genetics, biostatistics, general chemistry 1 and 2, organic chemistry, and calculus.
