Hello! My name is Ellie . I have taught kindergarten for 4 years in Wayzata, MN, and will be teaching first grade this coming year in the Adams 12 Five Star school district. I am also Orton-Gillingham trained. OG is a multisensory approach to reading instruction specifically designed to support kiddos with Dyslexia and other language disorders, but OG practices are beneficial for ALL early readers! I've completed 64 hours of classwork and tutored hundreds of hours with children ranging from pre-kindergarten to high school, many of which have been done using the practices of OG. I am in the process of completing my 100-hour practicum to become a fully certified Orton-Gillingham Associate level tutor. I enjoy tutoring because it allows me to stay connected with students and my passion for teaching, even when school is not in session.
