I am currently a rising senior in College, pursuing a Bachelors in Health Policy & Management, Women's Studies minor (hoping to go into Women's Health). I've been infatuated with children my whole life. At age nine, I started helping out at a family friends local home daycare center where the children ranged from three months to 4 years old. From then on, I knew children would always be an important part of my life. I became a mother's helper at age 10, where I looked after a neighbor's4-year-old while she completed household tasks. I continued to babysit/mother's help all throughout middle and high school while working at a restaurant. After being a a waitress/hostess for a year, I realized I needed to be doing something involving my true passion: kids. I got a job at a Children's School as a teachers assistant in the preschool classroom, and stayed there until the summer going into my senior year. I loved every minute working in the daycare the kids made me laugh more than I thought possible, and I learned so many valuable lessons from them. Who would've guessed?! In May of 2012, I was offered a summer nanny position for two little girls - ages one and three who lived down the street from me. I decided to leave the daycare and nanny full time May-August. It was by far one of the most fulfilling and enjoyable summers I've had yet. I performed tasks such as driving the3-year-old to and from preschool, general housekeeping (laundry, dishes, etc.), cooking balanced meals (my mom was a nutritionist, so I'm equipped with great healthy-eating skills), taking the girls on fun outings a few times during the week, such as: library circle-time book readings, the Children's Museum in Boston, the Capron Park Zoo, frequently to the School Street playground in Westwood, and the Hale Reservation membership beach in Westwood almost daily. I am a very active person, so I always like to encourage the kids to participate in fun and lively activities as well. I have babysat for many different families, and fully recognize that each family has their own unique dynamic. I am very accommodating and flexible, and welcome all children into my life. In the past, I have babysat for families with kids ranging from three months to 13 years old, so I'm comfortable with really all ages. Also, animals are a plus. Plenty of love to go around! I'd truly love to hear from you to hear more about your family. Thanks for your time!
