About Ellery

Hi! My name is Ellery! After graduating from Kent Denver cum laude, I graduated May 2018 from Harvard University with an honors degree in Neurobiology and minor in African-American Studies. I scored in the 99th percentile on my SAT and I am working part-time during the last few months of my gap year before beginning my PhD in the neuroscience of learning and child development. In addition to being a neuroscientist, I have a deep passion for creative writing, poetry, essay writing, and expository writing. Due to my diverse background of academic interests, I am comfortable tutoring in biology, chemistry, algebra, geometry, creative and expository writing. I was also a varsity athlete throughout my high school and undergraduate careers and learned deeply valuable lessons in balancing academics and extracurricular. As such, I also tutor in time management, organization, and study skills.
