I have worked in senior care since I was 16 - first as a CNA, and then as a Medication-Aid as I completed my education. I graduated from SDSU in 2012 with a degree in Human Development & Family Studies and minor in Gerontology. I then went on to complete a Graduate Certificate in Long Term Care Management from USD, graduating in 2014. I spent 11 years working at a Retirement Community in a variety of roles, ending my tenure at a Director level position. I transitioned out of classic full-time work after marrying my husband in mid-2023 as he travels internationally for work regularly and a flexible schedule suites our family better at this time. I have two English Bulldogs and own my own pet-care business focused on housesitting, dog walking, and drop-in visits. I enjoy senior care and hope to stay active in that industry through connections made on care. com.
