About Ellen

Most of my life I've been caring & interacting with children. The best parts about children are their excitement & laughter and watching them grow & learn. Caring, creative, relaxed, down to earth, & responsible describe me. Good communication, comfort, & consistency are top skills. Helping others, meaningful & engaging work are strengths. I like to knit, sew, bake, read, garden, etc. Stories, outdoor play, walks, homework, crafts, games, talking, & baking are my child activities. Handling meals and bedtime also. My experience began when I was 12 with babysitting, through college. I grew up with a large extended family, volunteered in work, school, & community child-focused activities, & raised four children at-home. Things to know are: clean driving record, non-smoking/drinking, no drugs, & little screen time. Trainings include CPR, first aid, & child-safe church.
