While taking college classes at ISU I worked at Thomas Metcalf School with kids ages from PreK through 8th grade. I was a lunch and recess supervisor as well as a summer camp leader. During this time I created activities and lessons for the children and ensured the safety of the children and other staff members. I have been there for three years and I have led and supported the infant, toddler, and twos classrooms. While there I created lesson plans, uploaded pictures to the app, supervised children, and communicated with families every day about their child. I enjoy working with children because I love watching the "light bulb" moment when they finally understand something or when they are happy and excited about something. I love watching children grow and learn because they are the future.
