About Ella

Hello! I come from the small island of Martha's Vineyard. This is a tight-knit community where watching your neighbor's kids from the ripe age of 10 is the norm. This community taught me how important treating people the way you want to be treated is, and going the extra mile for someone. I graduated from a small K-12 school with just 160 kids. The value of having the responsibility of being a role model was instilled into my education. Working with the younger grades started as soon as you could read to them. Up until my last week as a senior I was spending at least an hour every day with grades younger then me. This also encouraged me to volunteer at our local community center in early childhood care for 12 hours each week my senior year. I believe with the right amount of structure, encouragement, and time to play outside! All kids can flourish and explore while being in a safe environment.
