About Ella

I completed my degree in Elementary Education, with a minor in Special Education at the University of Vermont. Upon graduating, I was the recipient of the "John Dewey in Elementary Education Award." This award was given to a teacher who demonstrates the belief that children are active participants in, rather than passive receivers of education. Additionally, I have received a Certificate of Completion in the Trauma informed, Resilience-oriented, and Interprofessional Practices Course Sequence through the College of Education and Social Services at the University of Vermont. I have worked in a variety of school settings. I completed 3 separate internship experiences in 1st, 3rd and 5th grade classrooms. Additionally, I have worked as a summer school teacher in a 4th grade classroom. Most recently, I completed a 5 month contract as a full-time 6th grade Special Educator in the Spring of 2023.
