About Ella

I am passionate and patient in both teaching and learning and like to meet kids at their level. I tutored elementary schoolers with low literacy and math skills, working in groups with students, providing assistance through frustrations in learning a second language, ensured individual students voices were heard. By the end of the semester, students were able to write stories in English, and complete homework with little help. I also coached developmentally disabled youth job skills on a job site, readying them to enter the workforce through building new skills, through the goodwill summer youth program. I supported youth through learning retail tasks and managing meltdowns, demonstrating patience, attentiveness, and confidence in leadership.
