About Ella

I enjoy working with kids, primarily because supporting other people is one of the most rewarding experiences human beings can participate in. I'm also fascinated by, and admittedly a little enamored with, the practices behind successful attempts at education and collaboration - and in my experience working with children is an incredibly engaging way to become involved with, or even just to think about, said practices. I've had a few odd babysitting jobs throughout my teenage years, and have a little sister who is four years younger than myself who I certainly spent a considerable amount of time looking after, so its hard to pinpoint a specific start date. I really began to enjoy and come into my own working with children this past summer. I worked for two months at a sleep-away camp in upstate New York, where I was responsible for supporting and looking after children between the ages of 7 and 12, and creating and running programming for children ages 7-15.
