About Eliza

I teach business English online during the week, but I will begin working in person on Saturdays. I travel throughout the St. Paul metro area and can meet in your home or in a community center for a minimum of two hours/session. I teach writing and English as a second language. My master's is in applied English linguistics and I have a TESOL certificate. My formal training and much of my experience is in teaching adults, but I also love working with children: I am a parent and I have experience teaching in the public school system in various capacities. More about my teaching style: I enjoy working one-on-one to help students improve language skills more efficiently than is possible in a classroom. I'm looking for a job with a friendly family in a nurturing environment. I use the communicative language approach (CLT) to put students at ease by using authentic materials and allowing students to express themselves freely.
