About Elizabeth

I began my career working as a professional nanny (both live-in and live-out) in Chapel Hill, NC, Austin, TX, and Princeton, NJ. Responsibilities included transportation, homework help, cooking, cleaning, holiday and travel prep, overseeing home and vehicle maintenance, and pet care. My greatest strengths are patience, kindness, and enthusiasm for educational and creative activities. My aim is to approach discipline with love. Some of my most rewarding experiences have been working with children who have behavioral and learning difficulties. Several years ago I stepped back from nannying to focus on homeschooling my own 5 children. In addition to homeschooling, I publish math workbooks, run an education website, lead the UL Jr. Math Club elementary group, and teach at a co-op. I also enjoy attending workshops around the country on gifted education. As my own children have gotten older I am pleased to be able to offer childcare services again and look forward to helping other families!
