As a children's librarian, I bring a love of books and reading to every home I work in. I use songs and finger plays to comfort and entertain while actively playing by spending most of my time on the floor engaged in mat & tummy time, pretend play, blocks, LEGO, games, and puzzles. With toddlers and preschoolers, I make my own sensory play materials like dyeing pasta and rice, finger painting with shaving cream and tempera paint or making sound tubes from paper towel rolls. For kids of any age, I like spending time outside, setting up & chaperoning play dates and going to classes & activities. I enjoy assisting with homework and school projects. I'm happy to help with meal prep/cooking, light cleaning, errands and grocery/pharmacy shopping or ordering. When children are in school or napping, I'm open to laundry and other household projects as needed. I truly enjoy being a nanny and discovering the unique personalities and special abilities of each child in my care.
