About Elizabeth

I've been tutoring students of all ages since high school, specializing in chemistry, biology, algebra, and English. My approach is patient, friendly, and encourages questions to foster a supportive learning environment. With 5+ years of teaching experience at a New York high school, I've taught Chemistry, Living Environment, and college-level Anatomy and Physiology, including working with students with IEPs. I've also taught as an adjunct professor and led STEM programs like LEGO robotics and Scratch programming for kids. My tutoring experience spans a range of grade levels and subjects, including kindergarten math and English, 4th-grade math, 9th-grade biology and algebra, and 11th-grade chemistry. With a bachelor's and master's degree in Chemistry, I bring a strong academic foundation to my teaching. I hold bachelor's and master's degrees in Chemistry and currently work as a government chemist for the City of New York, bringing real-world expertise to my teaching.
