About Elizabeth

As a former high school science and creative writing teacher, I am an innovative educator and empathic nurturer through and through. With 12+ years of babysitting experience from ages 0-17, I seamlessly incorporate educational activities into daily routines including going on nature scavenger hunts, co-creating theatrical scripts, or doing math problems outside with chalk. And yes, there is always a bedtime story ready to be told. My philosophical approach is one that curates environments and interactions so that children feel empowered and confident. I believe this can occur by providing structured routines, careful observation, patient listening, and frontloading activities so children know what to expect. I am comfortable preparing food, transporting children to activities, tutoring, and adapting to family needs. Currently, I am looking to relocate to southern New Hampshire and am open to one-time babysitting gigs in the Portland, OR area or long-term nanny positions in NH.
