Elizabeth took care of my mother for the final 2 ½ years of her life as she suffered from chronic lung disease and became less mobile and able to care for herself. She did everything for her. She cooked, dispensed medicine, bathed her and provided companionship. My mother could be difficult, but Elizabeth took it in stride and never complained. They had a good relationship. My brother and I lived out of town so relied on Elizabeth to keep us informed of my mother’s health and well-being. She was good at communicating, completely trustworthy and always on time. When a second caregiver needed time off Elizabeth always volunteered to stay and work longer hours. I feel fortunate that my mother had such loving and competent care at the end of her life.
