About Elizabeth

This August I will be entering my senior year at SUNY Geneseo where I will complete my degree in childhood and special education with a concentration in mathematics. The past three years have allowed me to gain over 70 hours of classroom experience by implementing lessons and also observing lessons. In addition to the fieldwork directly associated with my major, I have also been able to participate in a literacy tutoring program at a local elementary school each week. While volunteering as a tutor, I would implement literacy lessons to multiple students each week. These experiences have made me realize how much I want to be a teacher and how much I love working with children. For the past few summers I have worked at Friends Academy Summer Camp as a counselor. Although I was invited back to work this summer, due to the pandemic the camp will no longer be opening. I would really like the opportunity to help your children with the school year that they have had.
