I am a married mother of three almost grown children. I love people and have had a variety of jobs helping them in different ways: teaching, editing and caregiving. One relevant and terrific recent experience (2019) was teaching a 10-week art class at KenCrest: very hands-on painting -- incredibly fun for me, and for the 8 students as well! I have also served as a Child Life Volunteer at a children's hospital and as a patient caregiver at a hospice. I consider it a privilege to work with Special Needs populations and will bring a reliability, competence, and a sense of creative fun to my caregiving jobs.

I have known Elizabeth in a variety of contexts: as a student at my art studio, as a fellow art educator who has substitute taught my art classes for me, and as a friend. I have always been struck by her magical touch with people: she exudes a relaxed warmth that immediately puts people at ease. Her natural empathy makes it easy for a wide range of people to connect to her, including some of the challenging children I have worked with. In addition to having terrific people skills, Elizabeth also has expertise in a wide range of areas. This combination makes her a great person for doing any kind of project: in addition to being able to direct and manage tasks, she is also able to collaborate and negotiate in a way that brings out the best in whoever she is working with. She has a good-humored, willing temperament, and is happy to tackle and successfully complete both mundane, every day tasks and complex, creative ones. As someone fun, practical, and wise, Elizabeth would make an ideal companion for a person of any age!
