It was my privilege and honor and care for both my parents in their later years. My mother had diabetes and I would had to check her blood sugar give her shots, rheumatoid arthritis and also dementia. I would assist with giving her a bath her and get her dressed. I would sort medication in to weekly pill boxes and administer it. My father had heart disease, with a triple bypass, a rare muscle disorder that impeded his mobility and COPD. I did laundry, shop cook and clean for them. I eventually provided in home hospice care for both of my parents. Since moving to ABQ I've been blessed to help families provide care and hospice for their loved ones. I have experience with catheters, feeding tubs, also assistance in helping to feed without aspiration, Alzheimer's and vision impaired, Bathing and bed bath's. I love what I do!!! I'm happy that people trust me to give them the same care I gave to my parents.
